Singer/songwriter Alex Dominish has selected one of Michael Cignoli's photographs as the cover artwork for his latest single.
Released today to coincide with the first day of summer, "Summer Weather" is now available on Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music and other streaming services.
It is the lead single off Dominish's latest album, "Monopoly," which is slated for release this July.
Dominish was considering several photographs for the project, but ultimately selected Cignoli's submission of an orange and pink flower blooming. The image, captured in Harrison, Arkansas, ties into the pop song's lyrics, in which blooming flowers and picturesque summer days help a couple rediscover the romance between them.
"Michael was a pleasure to work with! He was on the same page as me from the second we started talking. He provided me with countless options and variations for the project, worked diligently until it became final and was eager to meet my deadline. I am ecstatic with how the finished product turned out and I have already enlisted him to work with me on my next project!" Alex Dominish
Cignoli's photographs have been published in numerous newspapers and magazines, as well as print advertisements and billboards for some of Branson's top attractions. This is the first time his work has appeared on an album cover.
"I am beyond thrilled that Alex chose me for this project. It's a tremendous honor to be recognized by an artist as talented as him. He did an incredible job on the song and I'm so thankful I got to be a part of it." Michael Cignoli
